Bore Guide Recommendations

I need a bore guide for my Tikka, let me know what's worked well for you. Also if you can tell me where you bought it that would be helpful. Thanks

i got a tippton bore guide for my savage, works good. I got mine at cabellas in grandforks, but i think all the cabellas have them

Mike Lucas bore guides. No website, and doesn't ship to Canada. I have one, and it works great. Nice close tolerances and no play .

The Tipton and Dewey ones do nothing to align the rod with the bore.

I have a Lucas as well and I'm going to order another for a new build. Fortunately I've got family in the US who don't mind bring a few odds and ends back up for me.

ya the tipton guides dont align with the bore, you still have to be careful,but with a brass jag and a one peice rod its easy, they will keep copper solvent and whatever else out of your action

Second that on Lucas bore guides. I have a res in Phoenix and had it sent there. I had one made for my AI rifle and it works better than the factory guide.

I have try a couples of bore guide and the best one is the Mike Lucas.

They are custom fitted so, no play here.

I have a new one for a tikka in . 30 cal if you are interested.

Thanks for the offer and I would take you up on it but my tikka is a 223. I wouldn't have even posted this if lucas was available to me, I don't know why he doesn't ship over the border. The sinclair looks similar in design I might give that a try, thanks for the input guys.

Lucas for me too. Have one for both my .308 and .223. They are very well made and Mr. Lucas is a pleasure to deal with.
