Bore Guide?

Hello

Does anyone use a bore guide for a savage mark ii?

I purchased a cheap hoppes one but it doesn't seem to fit. I also have used my stainless rods to clean all my other .22's but have been scowering the internet and people are saying its bad for the bore.

Any info would be greatly appreciated, it seems everyone has their own idea on the best way to clean a bore.

I used to use 'conventional' cleaning stuff like rods and guides but I jumped to the bor-snake. I can clean a bore faster than it took me to write this post and to me its the only way to go.

Thanks ya I use a bore snake for my shotgun just wasn't sure how good it was at cleaning rifling.
