Barrel must point forward. Really important, that!
Uhhh...Maybe if you cough up a little more in the way of detail as to what you are trying to accomplish, eh? Good questions get good answers, while leaving folks guessing as to what you are trying to get done, leaves you subject to the whims of pretty much every git with a keyboard and half a cup of coffee into him (that'd be me!
).
Caliber, barrel used,maker, old or new, bullet manufacturer, cast or swaged, etc? What game are you trying to build for? BPCR? LR Target? Etc.

Mostly just pointing out that, without a bit of info to work with, the answers that come are not likely to be useful.
Since he has not apparently blessed us with any more info about what he is doing, why, or how, he's not like to find out any more than what he's been getting, which, so far, ain't a damn thing.
So, to reiterate, Good Questions, get Good Answers.
Otherwise, my answer stands. Oh. The firing pin. It should be able to strike the primer!

Might as well take a cast with cerosafe and ensure banding on the bullet is bigger in diameter compared to groves of your barrel; so there is good seal.
While doing that, also compare diameter of the body of the bullet to the land diameter of the barrel, so you can ensure it is actually going to be a bore rider (body should be smaller in diameter compared to land diameter).
Only other caution I can think of is the seating depth. Their ogive is usually lower than standard bullets. Don't go by the standard OAL when reloading; measure the actual...

So, HOPKINS, what the boys are trying to say is that they really need a bit more information so that they can give you a better answer because there are just too many variables and factors in your question.
As mentioned, the Calibre of the bullet, the type of rifle, the intended use, the approximate ranges you expect to shoot, and a general idea of what you expect to accomplish is a good start.
Bore riding bullets are more common in cast lead, larger calibre, longer and heavier bullets. These bullets are generally round nosed, and the front portion is guided down the bore by the diameter of the rifling. The rear portion of this bullet is of larger diameter so that you get a good gas seal at the base, and this portion engages the rifling. Some of these bullets can be very accurate.
