bore sighter on a redot

well its been a while for a dumb question from me ..
any ways....can a boresighter be used on a redot scope to get me on paper?

im just getting into the redot,s..so im a bit of a green horn on them

Why not? YOu may have to play with your red dot knob (on/off) to differentiate between teh laser red dot and the dot of your sight, but you will be able to see the boresighter clearly.

If you're using one of those leupold boresighters (like this:

you'll need a magnification scope to see the little grid

I laser boresight zero indoors at 25', so the red dot of the scope would be an inch or 2 low, according to the ballistics table. It might a problem if you are boresight zeroing at 100yrd for a 100yrd zero, but the on/off thing should work I suppose.
