Hey guys I have a dilema... I was cleaning out my 22 and the bore snake snapped off inside. I tried pushing it out, but it wouldn't move. I tried to pull it and I cant get any of the material to pull. Hope someone can help.
Thanx, Luke

There's nothing left sticking out in the chamber to pull from? If there is, wrap it around something and tie it and pull like hell. If you push it with a rod, it will likely compress and jam.

Dump lots of oil down the barrel. Go to Canadian Tire or factory supply place and buy a length of 3/16" brass rod. Cut it to the length of your barrel plus about 2". Insert into the barrel and use a brass hammer or wooden mallet and push the boresnake back out the way it came in.
Call Sinclair's and order a one piece cleaning rod and throw all your other boresnakes in the garbage.

Have a search on bore snakes. This broken snake thing went three pages last time and everyone put there two cents in. I have done it myself and here is how I did it.

I presume the end with the sewn over end is stuck in the chamber with nothing sticking out. Get a long wood or drywall screw and VERY CAREFULLY screw it into the centre of the stuck snake. Grab the head of the screw with a Vise Grip and pull out the snake the way it went into the bore.

JUst to give you an idea of how they can get stuck.I tried to put a patch in the loop and boy it got stuck. I had to anchor one end to a haybine and used the tractor to pull it out of the barreled action. Never put ANYTHING in the loop!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JITC
