Boresnakes?? Foul Out??

OK, how do you keep your match .22lr from fouling up? Do you find the boresnakes are gentle enough when used from chamber to muzzle to avoid wear?

How about the Foul Out system? Anyone try it on rimfire?

I use both, depending on what I'm trying to accomplish. I've only had one 22 that needed the Foul Out tho', but the BoreSnakes are a quick way to clean between rounds at the range. - dan

Patchworm at the range, while the barrel is still hot. 99% of the powder fowling comes right out.

I have never used anything but a one piece cleaning rod with a bore guide,
a patch and Hoppes No.9 followed by G96 on my match rifles.

Depends on the rifling. I've got a couple of steep cut rifled .22's that will foul with lead from match ammo. These get a few passes with a phosphor bronze bore brush when groups start to open up. The shallow micro/multi/ackro-groove type rifles require nothing more than a tight patch over a button jag. I likw the Dewey coated one piece steel rod- those sectionalized aluminum rods should be destroyed. I've yet to see one in any caliber that doesn't abrade the edge of the chamber....
