Back into the sport after a break of about 20 years. Was brought up around firearms all my life, hunted as soon as I could legally do so. My first rifle was a Cooey .22 my Grandfather found in an old cabin over 60 years ago. Still have it. Joined cadets at 12 and spent as much time at our range as possible. Spent my 16th summer ( 1980) in Victoria (Pat Bay) with the Cadet's National Small bore Rifle Coaching program.
Bought my first Handgun at 24 , a Colt Python with a 4" barrel, (got me my 12(6) ) from Lovett's in Kitchener and plinked away with it at the local club in the Tri Towns. Moved to Sudbury in 1990, updated all my licenses and permits , but it sat in my gun vault untill the past winter when I joined the premier club in town and have not looked back.
I cannot believe all the fun I have been missing.
Going to concentrate this year on basic skills but next year I want to try out the ODPL range and maybe the PPC as well.
Since then I have picked up a few new and used pieces and cannot wait to get to the range each week.
