Borrow a Laser/Bore Sight Tool - Victoria, BC

Hi,

Anyone in Victoria have a laser bore sight or any other type of bore sight tool I can borrow for a weekend? Need to rough zero my 338 Lapua and 6.5x55 Will provide Coffee and Timbits when I come and pick it up.

Pull your bolt and bore sight it the original way.

Laser bore sighters aren't worth the money.

Did that already, just wanted to have a second means to make sure I'm on paper and dialed in quickly. At $4/round time spent in prep is time well spent.

I've found that laser bore sighters don't work worth a damn.

Old way is the best way. I was chasing my tail trying to use bore sighters.

Do a "dirt shot" at your zero range, make your correction, and fire another to confirm. 2rds and done

If I had one to loan ya I would (I'm close by), but after sighting in over 100 setups, I've never needed one.

As it's been said already,

Prop up the rifle on a sand bag/rest and pull the bolt. Look at a small object/dot (1-2") through the bore (centered) at around 50yds. With the rifle steady, move up and adjust the scope crosshairs to be centered on the same object. You're then good to take a shot on paper at 50yds to fine tune, then a couple more at say 100y to establish your zero if your trying to keep costs down.

It's worked flawless everytime.
