I’m looking at replacing my hinged floor plate on my Remington 700...
What are some good options for bottom metal and detach mags??
I’d prefer to get a straight drop in or something with very little inletting or modifying.

PTG looks to be fairly straight drop in and I think HS Precision are also, but HS are pricey!

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Pacific Tool & Gauge for the win! I have their bottom metal on my Howa 1500 hunting rifle and it is outstanding equipment. The machining is top-notch and you get a lot for your $$ compared to Quick Clip (proprietary magazines - yuck!) or the other options. The best part is that you will be able to use Magpul AICS-pattern mags, which feed very nicely indeed! My PTG metal required a tiny bit of inletting, easily and quickly done with a Dremel. Go with PTG - they ship direct to Canada.

H S Precision Gen 1 or Gen 2 are the cleanest appearance to a flush fit & require the least amount of inlet work converted from a BDL inlet.

APA(GA) DBM if AI/PMags suit your fancy.

I’ve got Accurate bottom metal with Accurate magazines. It’s on my magnum actioned R700. Very nice too and reasonably priced if you can find it. Pretty much dropped in.

The Stiller DBM is one of the easiest to install and lets you run AICS pattern mags. Just takes a tiny bit of inletting with a Dremel that anyone with a bit of coordination can do. I'm pretty sure the PTG ones are all on the Badger M5 inlet and require more work to install except for the one that takes the old AI AE single stack mags, I believe.
