A quick post of a stock and bottom metal upgrade for my MkII Heavy Barrel.
I swapped my polymer stock for a laminate, but the bottom metal needed some serious help. My goal was to have bottom metal properly anchor the stock, as with this model, there is not a lot of laminate stock between the receiver bosses and the metal. Heavy barrel gun- seems to call for heavy bottom metal. I picked up new bottom metal on the EE, made from 1/8" Stainless Steel. I also got the required length 12-32 (unobtanium) button head screws same source.
The pics can tell the full story... I like how it came out. Still need to seal the wood and add short pillars prior to hitting the range.
