I'm considering having V-bull install a bottom metal kit on my 700.

I like the idea of getting his kit since he's local but are there others that I should be considering that might be better and why?

Any quality bottom metal will use AI mags. The differences between Vbull, Badger Ordnance, CDI, or any of the host of other DBM's currently on the market will be up to the individual. Some have large levers, some small, some buttons to drop the magazine. Some have locks (Vbull) some don't (Badger). Different brands have different trigger guard shapes. Certain brands will require more (or less) inletting.

You really can't go wrong with any of the quality names- it just comes down to features and price.

Wyatt’s are single stack and proprietary. Personally, I would not go that route. Their five round is as long as an AICS ten round. Plus, if you (and I know this never happens ) lose a magazine the chances of finding someone to borrow an AICS off of are much greater then someone with a Wyatt’s.

Got a B.C. Tactical on my 700 and besides the price I did not notice any differance between it and the V-bull 1.
