Hi guys (gals),

So this week my brother and I received a large parts lot that we bought a couple weeks ago. We bought the parts for much needed p14 and enfield spares. The lot apparently came from an old gunsmith that obviously sportered milsurps but he had the foresight to save the metal bits.

Anyhow, we ended up with quite afew Mauser parts and really we aren't Mauser collectors (I have 2 a swede and a Turk) so we're unsure of what we have. I don't normally do "what is it and what's it worth " threads but I figure if we aren't in need of all of this stuff there's no point on throwing it in the parts bin where it probably will stay for the next decade or four!!:)

Here's some pics of some of the parts, if some of you could confirm model of Mauser it goes to and a fair price I'd be very appreciative. Most of this stuff will be getting sold and I just want to make sure I don't misrepresent it or ask a stupid price for any of it. There's just so much stuff, that I figure this may be the best way to get answers.

Here's the cleaning rods, I compared them with books and internet pics. I believe they are K98k and are genuine based on the threads and the end where the patch goes. Bluing is 90%+, only a couple have any pitting. (there's 11-12.5" and 1-15")

Any help would be great, I'm fairly sure of what some of it is but I just want to be certain.

That "short" hood is for a steyr K98k. I need one, so if you're selling - pls pm me :) The 15" rod is likely for an imperial Gew98. The others, as stated, are K98k rods from mid-war timeframe. Typically selling $60-90 each on e-bay for originals.

Those odd looking sight hoods are off VZ24's or post-war czech K98's. Worth $5-10 a piece.

Thanks for the info guys!! I'm going to pull down one of the 2 carcanos here and see if that trigger is the same. Springs are probably there to, there's a small coffee can full of screws, springs and pins that I'm still going through.
