congrats Chris. the kimber sis is my wet dream 1911. you shouldn't have any problems, and from what i hear the customer service at kimber is top shelf.
just a guess, Williams in Port?
Thanks Jon. Yes Williams. New IP address?![]()
I would buy a DW Valor before any higher end Kimber. Especially in those price range, you just can't do better than the DW. I had the chance to handle and test fire both before I made my choice. For me, the DW is the clear winner here.
love the look of them
Funny I dry fired a DW Valor last Thursday and was very disappointed with the trigger. More travel and heavier pull than my Warrior. The other thing I don't like about the Valors is how they look. They do have a strong following and great reviews though. I would rather replace any "lower quality" parts in a Kimber and have the look I want than buy a DW. Either that or just buy a Les Baer which has many fine looking pieces. Of course as everything in life beauty is in the eye of the beholder so don't flame me.![]()
No issues with the custom covert 2, a beautiful piece of 1911

Your Kimber Warrior has a Carbon steel barrel which is prone to rusting. Keep a moderate coat of oil on outside of the barrel and you will love your Kimber for years to come.
