Bought a new rifle

Well the title says it all,
I bought a brand new in box, never fired Browning BAR Long trac chambered in 30-06 today, it has a gorgeous wooden stock, only problem is the CFC was closed so I have to pick it up from Bass Pro Shops next weekend, I couldn't help it and sucame to temptation, does anyone have any experience with one of these types of rifles? Its going to be my main hunting rifle in the years to come and will see its first action this fall. Im itching to take it home, I may go back earlier if possible.

There was no need to have waited, should have made them transfer the rifle thru the CFC website. They can do it on-line and you can take it the on the spot, so long it's non-restricted.

Just a thought for next time.
 
I thought ol' Harpey s**t-canned the CFC as far as long-guns went! Or a moratorium on registration, etc. Or is all that politico crap...not that the Conservatives are capable of that sort of behaviour.........:rolleyes:
 
I think there was a notice on the CFC website saying is was going to be down for a few days for maintanence. Maybe they need to spend the remainder of the 2 billion on ketting their keyboards dusted off :rolleyes:
