So with my first baby on the way i figure i best buy a rifle before i can't afford to anymore. So i went out and bought a savage 10ml with stainless barrel and camo stock. I shot it also yesterday and was pretty amazed how easy it is to use and how accurate it was. i was using 43 grains of 4759 powder and 300 grain hornady xtp. just curious what loads you guys use for deer and what you would use for moose and also bear.

You picked up a great firearm and should be happy with regardless what other people on the interweb think.
Ive hunted the past 3 years with a Savage MLII the laminate model and although it was heavy it was a very good shooting rifle that was a breeze to clean. I also appreciated the accu-trigger which I had set at about 2 lbs.
Mine loved 250 SST's with SR4759 Id get groups in the 1-1.5" which was suitable for close range big game.
