I just got back from Le Bar***, picked up a Remington 750 carbine in 35 W. I'll take her for a test run in the morning with some factory ammo. I'll keep you guys posted..

Hey guys

Welcome to the 35 Whelen fraternity. Not too many own semis in that calibre. I like my Mod7400 as it works well.

Please let us know how U like it after the range session. I find that felt recoil is much reduced with the semi in comparison to my other bolt and pump 35Whelens.

I had one on the range about three weeks back... the new Klingon 450 in .35Whelen is an awesome large bore semi!
Here is the range report... http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=81869

The gas orifice holes have been moved rearward about .75 inch, resulting in less fouling better feeding reliability and more consistent bolt velocities, which allow carbine sized model 750's into the lineup.
Remington engineers have also redesigned the barrel extension and plated the breech bolt with electroless nickel and Teflon. You only have to wrk the slide once to feel the difference between the new 750 and all other Remington Semi's!

Well, I took her out yesterday for a test run. Mind you I have not put a scope on it yet. With open sights, and Rem factory 200gr CL. 3- shot group at 50yrds was just a tad over an inch. 3-shot group at 100yrds was around 2", not bad for open sights! The rifle handles great, and the action is slick as snot, compaired to the 7400. In all, I think Remington has done a great job this time around. I have a VXIII 2.5x8 that will be on her real soon! Updates to come...

Did you pick it up from the Mississauga location of LeB***n or the Markham store? Did they have a few of them? This is the one I've been holding out for...must be carbine! My 7600 composite carbine in 30-06 has been tossing 180g Accubonds into 1 MOA groups with a Aimpoint 2x CompC scope which I am very pleased with....so on to the .35

Chilly, I bought it from the Markham store, and yes they had a few of them. They just got their shipment in from Remington on Friday. And even have ammo for what they sell, lol.

$728 from what I can figure from the LeBaron sales staff! But where is the customer service when that potential problem with the gun occurs??? They will not take the gun in for service nor warrentee....so its off to East Luthar Marsh gun repair ...so that trip is worth say $40 @ 1.05 per litre. I'm waiting to buy mine from a local shop that treats me right not like just a number!!!

BigRedd, I think it was $728, $677 with their club card. I had a really hard time finding the carbine version, so I jumped on it when I saw it there.
