I guess I didn't do my research well enough and bought a Zeiss Terra for my .223. I don't really need the bdc reticle but I got a good deal on it. The Leupold vx2 3-9x40 LR that's on it now is earmarked for my new CZ style 22lr. It turns out that the Terra with zr6 and zr8 reticle are set for 300 yards. But I usually shoot at 100 yards. And I do a lot of shooting at 60 yards, because my range has a lighted range that I can go to on weekdays after work during the winter, when it gets dark too soon to use the 100 yard range. Occasionally I go with friends to a place in the woods that's 200, but 95% of the time I'm 100 or 60.
Should I even care? It's not competition, just fun, but I don't want to put scope that's going to make me less accurate.
Can I send it in? Anyone know what Zeiss would charge to change it to 100 yards?
Or maybe I should try and sell it? I don't see any in the BST now, anyone know what they go for?
Or should I just find a club with a 200 yard range and start shooting longer distances?
TIA.
