I picked this up the other day at the gun show. It was overpriced, but I was ok with that because I've been looking for one for a while without any success. I'm not excatly sure what modle it is, maybe some of you can tell me?

I'm not fussed on the painted reciever cover. I'll be stripping that off and polishing it

I took the cover off to get a look at the inside. I was a bit suprised when I found this. It looks as if somebody almost drilled a hole in the wrong spot. Please tell me there all like this.

I had it out on the weekend. I got almost a 100 rounds through it, and 30 or so of them were by my brother. As far as I can tell it seems to be very accurate. I was shooting a 3" by 5" steel plate at 100 yards freehand, and when I was on it hit it every time. Overall Im pleased with the rifle, but I wasnt to get out and put a brick or two through it and really get to know it.

I would check this site out to see if your rifle manual is there for starters.. h ttp://stevespages.com/page7b.htm

Thanks. I believe its a H001, and the instruction do say it has a half #### safety, but it dosent work on mine. I'm not sure excatly what to do about it. Other than that it seems to function perfectly.

P.S - I have four Henry lever action rimfire rifles (and two centerfire) and I love them... they are smooth as butter, function flawlessly and are pure fun to shoot... have fun with yours!

You bought the Henry H001 lever LR... it is the base model seen in the links below... it sells for $265 - $280 new;

Thanks. I'm loving mine, it's a lot differnt than anything else in my safes. It looks out of place next to all my black and green guns, but it certenly has it's own cool factor.

Not sure, but what I do know is: It is worth absolutely $0 now that it has been shot.
Oh, I guess I should clarify: I was told this earlier on today about a commemorative Lever I have cause it was shot....what a bunch of bull turd that is. lmao Won`t point fingers at all......

With them drill marks it is definately defective and unsafe. You should immediately, if not sooner, send it to me for disposal.

BTW, I have a new one on order from Cabellas, supposed to be here in a week or so, I hope it doesn't have them extra drillings on it. We'll find out

I have the 16" barrel version. Great rifle and buttery smooth action. If you like the Browning high gloss wood look then grab yourself a product called ScratchX. It will transform the look of your rifle

Love mine. The only thing I'm thinking if changing is the front sight. Henry is not able to ship the hiviz one listed in their site to Canada. Haven't got around to checking Brownells yet.

Have you taken your reciever cover off before? Can you tell me if it has the same holes mine dose?

That looks VERY nice all polished up....

And secondly... I'm jealous. There I said it... I am DYING to get my hands on a lever .22.....

Do you mind if I ask what you paid (ballpark even) for one in used condition like that?

Have fun with it!
