Called Ryan (great guy) at Wolverine today to buy AR15M2. No stock, did not want to wait, bought Eagle Arms receiver in a panic to qualify for possible grandfathering. I am thinking of buying Stag RH1 upper from Arms East tomorrow. Need your advice please. Help!!!:runaway:

dont count on grandfathering they DO NOT have to grandfather anybody any time

True but grandfathering is a great way to lessen our resistance. Everyone gets a chance to get covered except those not in our community yet.

When 12(6) came along, I was happy to buy a $50 prohib and never put up a fight.

I will not make the same mistake again.

PS I have heard only good things about Stag.

Hoser-eh, you can relax... I bought the same receiver you did.
Take your time, figure out what you want length-wise and piece it together :)
The beauty of the AR15 is that any upper will fit (if that was your concern).

In regards to Arms East and the Stag Arms line... comparing the Stag Arms lower I have with the Eagle Arms lower, the Stag Arms is definitely a more polished product (Stag is perfect with no seams anywhere, the Eagle has seams in various places that weren't completely removed before being anodized - it's only cosmetic). You can't go wrong with the Stag Arms upper. Buy it and enjoy!

I am unsure if I am going to make my new Eagle Arms receiver a .223 or 9x19 :p

Right. Had I made the right moves before C-68, I could have had prohib class today. True, they do not have to grandfather us, but taking our property is harder than banning future purchases. Even if confiscation & compensation ever happens, I will have at least owned one.

So, do I buy the Stag upper or what?;)

"So, do I buy the Stag upper or what?"

Yes. Buy an upper. Who cares what brand? Do it first thing in the morning! Call in sick if you have to. Don't anguish over it. If you don't like it. sell it and buy something else.

Then go shooting.

I too freaked out the other day and went with a stag stripped lower from Arms East.... just in case .... i mean it can't hurt

Hoser-eh.....

By all means get the lower that winds your crank, but don't forget the true aim... (no pun intended) GET OUT and shoot your rifle lots!!! Compete with that beautiful piece of kit and improve your shooting skills.

Many folks spend too much time in front of the mirror (hence the moniker "Mirror Kommando") and not enough time in positions practicing for the matches. Come on out and join our fun whether it's Service Rifle, 3 Gun Matches, IPSC, but just get out there !!

Enjoy the addiction.

Federal Law???

Wolverine called me today to say it's not so easy to proceed with transfer of M15 lower assembly. Apparently Quebec is expecting (or hoping for) new ruling from Ottawa regarding semi-automatic long guns. Maybe transfer of ownership will not happen.

I will contact CFO office in Montreal tomorrow to find out. It would seem to me that until the laws change, the present laws are in force.

The Liberals condone baby-killing (abortion), but they don't want us to own any form of firearm.
