Bought a Zastava TT 70 9mm pistol from Tradeex, mainly for the historical look of it and to add one more restricted to the Canada's restricteds herd...
It look cool and it seem to be very reliable... JP.

Wanted to buy one more pistol before the election with a budget of 1500.00 or less, i started to look at those inexpensive pistols, and i have decided to buy at least 3 for the same amount of money, this is the first one, i will buy 2 others, i dont know the model yet... JP.

I recently picked one up off the EE.
Very happy with it for the price.
It's fun to shoot and is comfortable in my hand.
Easy to field strip.

The sights aren't the greatest though. I put some Testors yellow fluorescent on the front post which helps some.

It's running good on the Wolf 135gr LRN

PS

That one in your picture shows the model with the manual safety.
My M70A and I think most of the M70A in Canada do not have the safety, they only have the half #### safety as per the original Tokarev design.
The manual safety was added for the US market requirement.

A guy at the club I shot with today has had one for a while and uses it for action shooting. Either it’s not that accurate or he doesn’t shoot too well. It does shoot the brass out up and over and as the SO you have to watch where you stand as the brass rains down.

I've had an issue with my M70A. A crack has started on the slide at the slide stop notch after +/-1K rounds.

The Canadian importer has ordered me another (out of warranty period), but since the wait is probably going to
be long, I ordered a Norinco slide off Marstar, and it fits! Interesting differences between the slides:
The Zastava slide cutout is cut clean through, but the Norinco slide cutout is a rebate cut...see here:

Another difference is the firing pin setup. The Zastava uses a proprietary system, the Norinco duplicates
the Tokarev system.
If you decide to buy the Zastava, bear in mind that the proprietary parts are not stocked by anyone in Canada, AFAIK.

Thanks for the heads up.
I'll keep an eye on my slide cut out.
I see that Numrich in the U.S. carries parts for the M70A.
But they charge a $35 import fee.

I am not to worried about parts if they are needed, they can be ordered, should take more time only... JP.
