Hello everyone, need some advice please. I recently purchased a Vortex Crossfire 2 red dot. I watched and read many reviews and all seemed to be positive so I decided to pull the trigger. I know this is a budget red dot but am I wrong to expect more? My unit is unusable untill setting 6 and even then I mean barely. If I go into a pitch black room, I can make out the faintest hint of a dot on setting 4. Outside, or even in a moderately lit room, I need to put the setting to 9 for it to be useable. I have used the included battery, changed to brand new batteries, tightened the battery cover as far as it would go, had other people confirm the lack of brightness and recorded through my phone to make sure it was not my eyes. All tests confirmed the same. Did I get a dud? Seems weird to me that only the last few settings are visible in a moderately lit room. Thanks everyone.
