Bought one...Got to shoot a H&K SL-8 today, quite impressive...

Did like the Swiss, the MR-1's were top rifles, the XCR's was flawless and i am sure this one will be on par.... And most important it is NR so i can use it on my private land... Restricted maybe better or not but it is always a shooting range proposition, kind of tighind one hand in your back... In my book that is... JP.
 
Got my hand on two used original SL-8 factory mags, quite happy... 3 five rounds mag, ought to permit fast firing on these Wild turkey destroying coyotes... Beware beasts... JP.

I think that is only in the US. They are still being produced. In fact The Shooting Centre just got a shipment in at $2125 each which is a great price.
 
Starting to look to get a scope for my H&K... A 1X7X24 LRIMOA ( did send Jerry an inquiry) could be a good choice, still got those 6500 Elite 1.25X8X32 as an option or i could go with my Spectre 1.5X6 ( cant believe they use those for soldiers, paid a fortune for it and did not find no real advantage of this, surely one day, one of my grandkids will find a way to like it ) but this device is bulky and heavy, will decide that today... JP.

I wonder how many sales H&K has lost over the years because of that weird thumbhole stock. Especially in the US. How can you hope to compete with AR-15s and other military style civilians rifles when you're dressing up your HK36 in a gimp suit?

My rifles are like my cars, i like to have them unmodified, i always do with the good and the bad and usualy the positive side is often on top... JP.
 
No need for this thread now, i just replaced my H&K by a Nationa Match Springfield Armory 308... Yew... JP.
