Was wondering if many SKS owners here have bothered Bedding there SKS. Has it helped with making a spray and pray gun into something respectably accurate?
You'll need to switch up to some better ammunition if that's what you're after. An SKS is a reasonably accurate firearm, but the military surplus ammunition is garbage.
When the first brand new SKS came through the shop, I bedded it, using the same basic method that is used on M-1 and M-14 rifles. It shot very well. The coarse sights and the long heavy trigger were the limiting factors.
