I know theres videos on youtube with guys deer hunting and getting coyote's from their stand, but if I wanted to start hunting these damn things from the ground with a proper e-caller and use either a cross bow or compound bow, it is possible?

Is it like Deer hunting where cover scents will be needed to get them fooled into coming close enough?

I cant use a firearm where I need to eradicate them so Bow is my only option. They are on my game cameras way more than the Deer are, and there is almost ZERO other small animals left in this bush, likely due to the # of coyotes. They never seem to show up when I'm in my deer stand though.... yet heres a couple recent shots of them being comfortable eating my apples....

I have taken half a dozen coyotes with a bow by calling them in, so it can be done... but I have had four or five close encounters for every one I loosed an arrow at... the amount of movement required to get off the shot with a bow is tough to pull off on a coyote under 30 yards away... a ground blind might help (but I hate being constricted by a blind)... and a crossbow would require less movement, but in 40 years of bowhunting, I have never used a crossbow. I see that you are in Ontario... if you aren't too far, I would help you put the whack on a few... PM if interested.

coyotes have a much better sense of smell than deer and they are definitely a wiley critter. A ground blind over bait would probably be your best bet. You will have to play the wind for sure though. Or like suggested above you could trap.

a single shot bow is not for me for these s-o-b's, I need to go with a non legal 6mm s/a with a 10 shot DM to git the job done quickly as possible. So, hang me, if ya need too. These critters venture onto my property for water at the flowing artesian well and sing crazy wild dog songs at 3 AM to 5 AM and are a thread to my pets. I stand on guard for th-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e.......................

If you want to get rid of them trapping is the most effective way. I would argue that scent control, in particular playing the wind to your advantage may be more important for coyote success then deer.
It has been my experience when calling that coyotes will almost always try and circle downwind of your calling position before approaching. I try and put some sort of obstacle that prevents them from doing so when ever I can, large open spaces, water bodies etc. Its a challenging game calling coyotes, I probably call in more foxes and bobcats then coyotes that I see every year.

I stalked up on one once while bow hunting Mule Deer, got within 40 yards but did not shoot it. It was a good thing too as I took 180" Mule Deer another 30 yards past where I saw the Yote. he Yote was so busy stalking mice that he did not hear or see me it was pretty neat to watch.

I pounded off a few with my recurve, Trick I used is to tie a chicken by his leg and then the other end to a metal stake in the ground. Put it on the edge of a field within range and near good cover for me. I hide and call them in.
When they come their focus is on the bird and not you. Also works for fox
