Unregarding the price, what will be the best for a M-305, a boyd wood stock or a USGI synthetic stock? Can one of those increase accuracy or it's only a matter of changing the chicom el chipo wood.

thanks

exactly, I was thinking about the nutmeg laminated stock, but I think I cannot order it because of the new reclassification of the M-14 as an assault rifle, but i'm not sure.

I have both the Boyd "pepper" laminate sotck and a refished USGI stock for my M14. They both work and look great. I do most of my shooting at the range thus use the heavier Boyd's stock. If I was hunting with my M14 I would use the USGI stock as it is lighter.

Either one would increase accuracy. I am not a lawyer, but I do not know if M1A stuff falls under the same guideline as the M14 stuff ? I am sure some one will chime in here and let us know ? The boyds is not inletted for the selector lug ,so it would be a M1A stock not a M14 . Again I am not sure if this matters or not ?
It sounds like it will become more difficult to obtain USGI synthetics in Canada due to the new rules .

Synthetic Or Bust

Hi everyone

Here's somthing i picked up a few days ago......a pretty decent looking USGI "i think i didn't realy ask" synthetic stock." It was custom painted with many layers, and mates up well with my Canadain Bought Norinco M14. I had to make a slight alteration to extend an inside edge, so the operating rod retaining pin would have somethign against it to keep it in place, but it was nothing some expoxy didn't fix. took five minutes. I went with a synthetic for just what reasons you have read already...... it's a noticably tighter:) fit, then the chink wooden mystery wood stock, more accurate, and won't lose it's tight fit over time.
