The "tacticool" was exportable (until about 1 year ago) until someone in the US government decided the name sounded vaguely military-ish...ergo, exporting this laminated wood, .22LR stock (granted, it is black!) would mean exporting critical, proprietary US military technology...just like exporting a used BSA Sweet 22 scope (made in China, designed in England, applicable solely to .22LR target shooting) is exporting US military technology.
Hey! That means my Sweet 22 is, like, the equivalent of the targeting system on an F-22!! I guess that's why they call it "sweet", eh?
Of course, you CAN order the exact same stock (made by Boyd's) direct from Savage, and there's no problem exporting it...because they don't call it "Tacticool".
By the way, the "Tacticool" is a fantastic stock! I love mine...with its Sweet 22 on it, it's doubly military, I guess.

I really should have ordered one when they weren't compromising the security of North America. I was looking really hard at them, I should have just dropped the cash! Frickin' ridiculous!
Not if it's called "Tacticool". In the case of Savage MkII owners, they're lucky, because Savage can also supply the stock. As for CZ, short of using some "alternate means" of acquiring one, I don't think so. Unfortunately (very!), as they are awesome stocks.
Does anyone know what Savage charges for the tacticool? It seems most manufacturers severely price gouge when they slap an aftermarket stock on one of their rifles. Most Remingtons with factory B&C stocks can be done by buying the base rifle with Tupperware stock, buying the B&C and doing it yourself for hundreds less.

The last time I ordered from Savage, I asked them to ship USPS (and I explained the reason why). They said sure, shipped USPS, no issues with brokerage etc. for me. No problems at all. Savage was very easy to deal with on the phone - the girl was knowledgeable, friendly & helpful.
Considering that there is no other way to get a Tacticool (unless you find one that someone's bought & not used, for example), that's the only option. Of course, I'm biased - I have a Tacticool on my MkII and, knowing what I now know, I'd have gladly paid $250 for one if necessary. It improves the rifle that much!

Its not what its worth to someone its the fact that some idiot #### blocked us based on their f**ked ideology forcing us to pay a lot more. #### move that punches the hurting US economy in the #### so some rich punk can say they changed something so all the sheep can sleep peacefully.
I'm guessing savage won't supply the tacticool stock for my 10/22. I just don't understand. Archangel nomads available all over the place? Sr 22? Rails with lasers, lights red dots? Not saying these should be banned as well but come on, a fricken stock with the name tacticool? Now that could really make my 22 dangerous. Psh.

Did you order a stock from them? A few weeks ago a member was on the phone and the lady said only ups for stocks no getting around it. All the smaller stuff I have gotten was usps
