Boyds gunstocks

First, you need to figure out if you want a laminated stock or a solid wood. Then you need to figure out with options you're willing to pay for, such as checkering patters, length of pull, color, fore end tips, butt pads, laser engraving etc.

I have four of them presently. They are all laminated and very stable. The inletting is drop in, as in very generous. They do need to be glass bedded for best results.

They aren't cheap, by the time you pay exchange and import fees.

You may be better off looking at a Canadian stock maker.

I believe Del Selin's, in Vernon, which isn't that far from you has what you're looking for already here and at a similar price to what you would pay for one, ordering it yourself.

any one out there has a boyds gun stock at one on their guns im looking to get one for my weatherby vanguard

The VG stock is fine as is - it is suppose to touch the barrel - had one and it shot better with the factory stock been their wasted $$ trying to get a hunting rifle to shoot like a precision rifle.

Prophet River has B&C stocks, better stocks for about the same price a Boyd would cost landed, and you won't have to wait 2 months for it.

I have bought quite a few Boyd's stocks, the Heritage and the Prairie Hunter are my preferred models and are not available for the S2, I have not had a bad fit and I like the look of them. The Bell and Carlson stocks I have handled have been too heavy and too thick through the wrist for a comfortable fit for me.

It's been a few years since I bought one but I have Boyd's laminates on my Sav MLII, Savage BMAG heavy barrel, M70 Win in the Prairie Hunter. I had to spend a few minutes opening the barrel channel for the BMAG heavy as it was made for the lighter barrel. The others were drop in fits, no issues.
They are a great stock for the price IMO. I haven't tried the B&C stocks.

Do not go to Richardson's MicroFit... should be call "Macro"fit... their inletting is terrible. I have ordered more than a hundred Boyd's stocks over the years and have never gotten a bad one. Read the description carefully and triple check that you are ordering the correct stock for your action... barrel contour is a lesser concern as the channel only takes a few minutes to open with a sandpaper wrapped dowel.
