Boyds Mauser Stock

No. Action bolt spacing is different. Front diameter of receiver is different. Determined people have "made them fit" and "made them work", but NOT "drop-in"...

"determined people who made it work" - most "extreme" that I am familiar with - late 1940's in central Sask bush - broke stock on a Model of 1917 Enfield - 30-06. Used a laminate surplus stock from a Mauser 98 - appeared to have been mostly fitted and shaped by jack knife at farm kitchen table - my Dad bought that rifle in 1948 and was the only center fire hunting rifle he ever owned - hunted and took deer, elk, moose with it for about 60 years...

Today, it has a different M1917 action, a different barrel, but same stock - I epoxy bedded it mostly to replace punky rotten stuff inside - my brother had it out after white tail deer last fall.
