Considering a Boyd's Rimfire Hunter for my 455 American. How does it compare? Longer? Heavier? Beefier? Than the standard stock?

Thoughts appreciated,

Patrick

I got one for my 452 Silhouette a year or so ago. I only use it when I feel like shooting off the bags as I find the Silhouette's stock much better for shooting off hand.

You will notice the weight difference of the Boyd's laminated version right a way. The stock is definitely beefier and wider up front. I like the standard (soft) Boyd's shoulder pad much better than what you get with the CZ American stock.

Good luck

I have the Boyds Rimfire Hunter stock on my 455 American and prefer it to the original stock. I use my rifle for casual bench shooting and like the Boyds stock because it's heavier and has a wider forestock, which makes it better on the front rest.
