Boyd's SS Evolution

Hey CGN, I'm putting together a 10/22 build and I have a question about the Boyd's SS evo stock.

This stock does not come with any attachment points for slings, as far as I can tell. How hard would it be to add a front and rear sling mounting point? Where might I find such a mounting point that could be installed like this? Thanks.

Easy buy a sling swivel stud kit drill two holes and put in the studs done. I bought my studs at ct

Oh, well, that sounds easier than I had imagined. I've since found them on CT's website. Didn't know they were that common. Thanks.

I did that with mine. Just mark it out where you want it and make sure its in the middle then drill and acre it in.

It only takes a few minutes to install sling studs.... just make sure that you "slightly" cone the mouth of the predrilled holes to keep the wide stud threads from splintering the wood.

I have the Evo stock on my Savage BSEV and I hate it.
I find it very hard to get a good cheek weld for small groups.
I hate it so much that I just bought a Savage TRR-SR today.
I will either replace the stock or sell the rifle if the TRR-SR works out.

Find somebody who has one and try it out before ordering.
Maybe it will save you a lot of aggravation.
