Boyds stock for a MkV Weatherby

The Boyds site lists a stock for the MkV but states it will not fit older models. Has anyone used one of these stocks and/or know what the cut off line is for "old ". My rifle is from the 70's and was made in Japan. Will the Boyds stock fit ?
