Are you guys able to get Boyds stocks relatively easy? Or will Boyds only sell into Canada through an agent? Looking at buying 2 when I'm over this hunting season.

You can order form them. Just have to make sure the stock is less then $500 before tax and shipping. I've ordered 3 or 4 from them and service was good. Shipping time was pretty standard as with everything from the usa.

I have ordered more than 100 stocks directly from Boyd's, installed one this morning as a matter of fact. Use their stock finder to get the correct model... they are quick to deliver... but shipping is usually $50ish.

Bought several from them. No issues with the purchase or shipping to Canada. Just don't waste your money on their 'premium' walnut.

X2. I was also less than impressed with their gloss finish; more filler was needed and it was a XX Claro stock, $500-ish delivered. Truthfully, I should have sent it back but I decided to just use it.

That said, the stock fits well and looks good; I popped for fleur-de-lis checkering and forend and grip caps. I bought it for my go-to rifle, a 1993 A-Bolt hunter in .280 Remington. That rifle is a tackdriver but due, I think, to its stock geometry, has always recoiled harder and exhibited more muzzle jump than other .270/280 rifles I'd shot. With its cheekpiece, higher comb and softer recoil pad, the Boyd's stock turned my very-accurate-but-unpleasant-to-shoot A-Bolt into a rifle that's much more enjoyable to shoot.

They were having website issues when I ordered so I did it on the phone. Good service, shipped in a timely manner.
