Howdy, I've got a Ruger Old Army w/a Conversion Cylinder. (R&D) Its a stainless Ruger with a nickle plated cylinder. With the cap & ball cylinder in it's dead on (MY ruger is the fixed sight version). With the .45 LC cylinder in it shoots a bit high. Lock up with both is bank vault tight. Both are CAS/SASS legal. If your Ruger has the adjustable sights then you have to shoot in modern class, otherwise you have a wide range of choices for the class you shoot in. It's an accurate, fun to shoot package. I love the dual fuel capability. If I just don't feel like cleaning my guns that day, I can shoot smokeless loads (light ones of course) out of the R&D cylinder. Gangs of fun.
