When using Emmert's lube, I wipe after each shot, 1 patch, dampened with Moose Milk. I did shoot several 5 shot strings without wiping or blow tube with no appreciable difference in accuracy. My next test will be to shoot a 50 shot string without wiping. Then, I will continue testing as you suggest.
I would guess/expect, better accuracy with wiping. I should mention, in Paul's books, he says that he wipes between shots in competition even knowing that his "Premium" lube is capable of long strings with no loss in accuracy.
I put an extra long throat in my chamber so that most of the slug is centered /supported in the throat. When shooting with smokeless, that is not a problem but when shooting black, there is enough fouling in the throat to prevent me loading the next shell without running a brush down the barrel

I haven't modified any of my rifles. Planning on running my 50 rd test this Friday if I can get my ammo loaded !LOL!!
I didn't exactly modify it; I made the reamer to match my ideas on getting accuracy. I also bought a faster than normal twist barrel that I chambered to 38-56 I wanted to shoot a 300 grain slug to be more certain of knocking a ram over, assuming I hit one.

I went to the range today and fired my 50 rounds.
Loading protocol:
Unsized Starline brass, newspaper wad against the Win. LP Magnum primer, 55 grs Goex FFg, dropped thru a 24" tube over powder waxed cardboard wad, .250" compression done with a compression die, 400 gr Snover bullet seated by hand and a slight amount of neck tension applied using a Lyman .40 Cal rifle taper crimp die.
The shooting shack was full today, all 6 positions occupied so accurate shooting was a challenge! In fact, near impossible!
In conclusion, the lube worked exactly as Paul Mathews says in his book "Bullet Lubricants for the Black Powder Cartridge Rifle"
I fired 50 rds, 5 targets 10 rds ea. I had no problems chambering or extracting the empties throughout the test. About 1 1/2 hours to fire the 50rds because of other shooters needing to make the line safe to post or retrieve targets.
