BPS magazine system

The Browning BPS magazine may be emptied without cycling the pump action.
This is done with the small "button" near the magazine base.
Does anyone know if other Browning models or other companies ever had this same system for their pumps /autoloaders,or was the BPS the first to incorporate this handy feature?

i empty my 535 this way all the time . just push in the littelretaner clip and out pop the shells works great DUTCH
