I'll second 3Macs comment about fit, the BPS does have different dimensions from most other Browning products. If 3 1/2" is a must and a BPS can't be found, you will find the Benelli Nova has nearly identical stock dimensions, they are all 3 1/2" chamber in 12ga.
 
After some time handling my Nova he thinks that is the route he is going to go. Out looking around on the weekend and Benelli has done the same thing. New Novas are chambered in 3". If you want 3.5s you need to spend the extra to get a Super Nova.

All 12ga Novas & Supernovas are 3 1/2", all 20ga are 3".

You don’t need 3.5”, it was a promotional thing back in the 90’s and the actual ballistics is worse because of more shot. Gives a longer shot string, basically for people who can’t aim.
 
I have the bps camo with 28” barrel, 3” shells. More than adequate for anything however the gun feels heavy to me and I’m 6’4 with orangutans arms, maybe I’m just not used to it yet but shoots great. Thats my 2c
 
Guys, can we please have a thread that doesn’t descend into the usual “you don’t need a 3.5” discussion.

3 1/2" is a 10 gauge shell, never understood why people put those things in a 12. The recoil is insane, and the patterns are horrible, never seen a 3 1/2" 12 gauge pattern those big shells well. They are nothing more then a gimmick.
The BPS is a great gun though, probably the best built pump currently available new. I got one in 10ga and one in 16ga

The man above has clearly never taken a 3 1/2 12ga and a 10ga exact guns with various ammo and chokes and shot paper with them
I can get real good patterns with a 3 1/2 12 ga also and as far as recoil goes I see no difference between the two but most of mine are semi
I have done many side by side pattern tests over the years with my four browning golds two 10ga , two 3 1/2 12ga
My now moved on 10ga bps kicked the hardest by far

I have a Beretta extrema. It does not kick harshly even with very heavy 3.5" turkey shells. It patterns very well using birdshot, 4 buck, and 00 buck. I have used it in almost EVERY hunting scenario an Ontario hunter can encounter, except using slugs. It works GREAT. I personally know multiple Benelli SBE owners who are also happy. For me, it was not a gimmick. I did my research, made my choice and am very happy. BS assertions on a forum like "insane recoil" do nothing to help anyone. I also believe "shot stringing" has been myth busted...watch high speed camera footage of a "Shot string"...doesn't exist IMO. Its more of a swarm regardless of the shell length.

The OP wants a 3.5. Just respect his choice, provide info and advice based on bone fide experiences, or just shut up. IMO
