I am looking for a convenient device to install an optic ( red dot or reflex sight) on a CZ Shadow 2. Mine is the standard, not the OR version. I have not found much, other than cheap China made brackets on eBay. What is out there?

Edit: I would prefer something that is a quick install, and does not require taking off the rear sight.

RDSC and a couple others carry the CZ optics mount that dovetails into the rear sight. You just have to find the right one in stock for your RDS.

Cut the slide or buy OR.

Alternatively, you can buy something similar to this piece of $hit...

Afterwards you'll realize that most of the quick and easy options, including the dovetail brackets, aren't any good.

Lol There's something about cake and eating cake coming to mind.

OP, what you're looking for doesn't exist, or everyone would be running them. Nobody WANTS to pay to have a slide milled, or pay to buy an OR gun, but they do because you kinda have to.

I have that type of a mount on my 1911, remove the rear sight.
If you don't want to remove the sight, buy a new gun is the easiest way
I bought a Canick for this very reason.

In what respects do you see that contraption as a POS?

I had one on an M&P .22. Worked OK until you wanted to clean the gun. Didn't have enough clearance to remove the slide...
OP, Your only going to find milling or dove tail.
I've moved to RDS and just sold a CZ 75B New Edition because I couldn't bare the thought of milling it.
Also, dovetail plates in my opinion mount the dot too high and look ugly...
If you do decide to mill, Black Box Customs quoted a reasonable price for me.

Holster options=custom made
It's also not the 90's where those were the only option to hold old Aimpoints or pistol scopes. These days the milled or OR slide is the best

^^^^^^^^^^^, another plus is being able to co witness your iron sights in case of RDO failure.
