Just got my brand new Benelli M4 H20 in the mail this morning and as I was inspecting I noticed the Cerakote is not consistent on the mag tube as you can see in the pics l.....what do you think I should do as iam a little disappointed in this as it is a 2500$ shotgun.....should I send the mag tube back and hope for a new one will be better? Or will the finish still not be consistent? It looks as when they sprayed it they miss a spot like for real I can't belive the quality of this.....or is this they way they are and u should just forget it and get shooting?

Send it back, if they send you a new mag extension it may not match? While Cerakote is pretty consistence, it's recommended that all parts be sprayed at the same time when its applied.

Personally - I wouldn't bat an eye at that. I know you expect perfection when you buy new ($2500!! yowzah), but for me I wouldn't care. Unless you're looking for it - you'd never notice.

Plus - you should ditch that lame mag tube and get one that fits 6 x 2 3/4" shells... 7 shells plus one on the lifter (ghost load) for 8 rounds of semi auto goodness!

^^^^^ I hear ya....this shot gun will be put to good use and well used.....it's gonna cost me 60$ or more to send back and plus I was going to get the +1 anyways ( doubt the Cerakote will match up with the new one anyways ) I'm gonna send the oem mage tube away for color match....FVCK I know I should of just got the standard black color......had a remington 870 marine magnum with factory blemished finish too.....can't these company's just make a decent product anymore ?

As someone that does make +1 mag tubes and also does cerakote

I'd say get a +1 from one of our dealers . And get it cerakoted.
While cerakote is the best gun pain you can use. You may see shading issues when you have somthing like amuminum and steel. Especially when the 2x parts arw not sand blasted to same spec.

Forgive my naivety, but isn't 5 in the tube the max for semi-autos?

Yes - but 5 of the longest shell that will chamber. In this case, it's a 3" gun - but the +1 tube let's it hold 5.9 rounds of 3", which actually will fit 6 x 2 3/4". All legal.

Plus one in the chamber (7) plus one on the lifter (8). The ghost loaded round is NOT in the magazine so doesn't contribute to loaded capacity. Hence, 8 rounds - 100% legal.

If i just spent any amount on a new gun, let alone a $2500 premium brand product, i would certainly be seeking a replacement part. Everyone's mileage may vary, but excepting a less than advertised product will only hurt the industry and the consumer later on down the road.
Im in retail, and i would advocate for my customer to have that fixed up pronto

Depends on the interpretation of the officer who arrests you, and the judge you're thrown in front of, after thousands and thousands of dollars in legal fees. Our laws are vague and open to interpretation for that very reason ;)

What this guy said. A mag dump with 8 shells is like heavean. Better than ###. Everybody whos fired my Benelli has loved it. Honestly I cannot see what your compaining about. Take the gun out and fire a bunch of boxes of ammo from it and make sure it functions proper before worrying about that issue. Mine wont cycle low power rounds like target loads but I dont care. I just make sure I load it up with good quality ammo and let the fun happen.

Your pictures look a little dark but I am assuming it is Titanium. I looks like the coating was sprayed too thin in a few spots. Or perhaps it was not shaken thoroughly enough. Either way, it happens, but is not acceptable. Other parts look thin as well, so I would send it back. You will not get maximum protection or finish performance if sprayed too thin. If it was just not shaken properly, the protection will be fine but cosmetically, it is not acceptable. Send it back.
