just got 2 brand new BC Steel Lips magazines for my Krinker and they BOTH fit like CRAP. The are very hard to get in (very tight) and once inside they are very loose and just move back and forth.

BUT, the funny thing is the Krinker came with two 15 year old BC steel lip mags that fit perfectly. WHAT THE F? shouldnt they be the same??? Any ideas what i can do? It's hard enough to find any 25 round 10/22 mags now adays and this is a real bummer. Feel like throwing the whole damn thing in the fire.

I have two BC steel lips mags also. The first one was bought a few months ago and fit kind of loose. The second I bought about a month ago and initially fit too tight. Funny thing is that both work well.

well these two i seriously can't even get them in the mag well. I have to almost pry open the mag well to get them going then force them up because theyre so tight. Then when they "lock" into place they're loose back and forth. Side to side they're way too tight. Then the two other ones i have that are 15 years old go in fine and lock in rock solid. Is there no consistency between these? And what are the chances that the two ones I find both have the same problem?

Or did the dude on the EE rip me off by buying 20 of these and tossing the ones that suck on the EE for me to lap up?

I'm just really frustrated that it's been months and i can't get 25 round mags for my 10/22 to save my life. I have cash, i want to buy, how hard could it be?

When you've had them in and out of the gun after a few range trips the will ease up a bit. I have 4 and 3 of them were tuff going in and now all 4 are great. Another thing I tried was loading them up the night before I was ready to use them. If you have any feeding issuse this should clear them up............just my .02

ok, but why would the 2 old ones i have lock into place tightly and these rock back and forth when fully inserted. I mean, how can you get a good feed when the magazine is in a different position between every shot? or are the new ones supposed to be sloppy

Could also be a result of your trigger pack not lining up properly(sloppy receiver pins?)...or a bunch of built up crap in the hole that the pin on the mag seats in

thanks for the replies. I sanded down the sides of the mags so they now actually insert in the rifle (still difficult but not as bad). The mags are still a little sloppy forwards and back once inside but they manually cycle the ammo seemingly ok. My next test will be at the range and hopefully i'll get it to cycle without jamming every round

I also ordered 2 of the 30 round Eagle mags from www.frontiertaxidermy.com for $20 each and we’ll see how they go.
