Why do companies constantly feel the need to use footprints other than the industry standard RMR. Doesnt look like any design reason would prevent this from being fitted for the RMR footprint other than poor choices

Also the US Mil M17 & M18 have the DPP/Sig Romeo 1 Pro footprint. I don't think it's a coincidence that EoTech's first venture into the pistol optics market has a footprint that matches the largest military in the world's pistol.
