My one and only handgun (so far). Haven't had the chance to shoot it yet but I've heard generally positive comments on accuracy and reliability. I've also heard that the M9's chrome-lined barrel really isn't necessary on a pistol. Any thoughts on that point?

Are those Pro-Mags or Mec-Gar mags?

It's been awhile since I've handled beretta mags, but I think you have Pro-Mags which generally are not that desirable; I think someone did a mag swap on ya because Berettas usually ship with Mec-Gar's.

Otherwise, nice pistol... it used to be my most desired list :)

those are stock Beretta mags. Beretta doesn't ship non factory mags with their guns. And before anyone says Mec-Gar makes OEM mags for Beretta, no they don't. They've supplied some mags for the military just like Checkmate did, but they weren't OEM mags.

good choice on a gun though. you're in the US so those are probably 15 rounders. Go to Berettaforum.net for more info on your gun.

This was purchased at a local Sportsman's Warehouse for $499. The M9 and 92FS were identical in price, but I kind of liked the military part number/CAGE stampings on the M9.

From what I'm told, the trigger is polymer-coated metal, although that sounds a bit odd.

And yes, the mags are Beretta factory mags (15 rounders).

I've never had a good ProMag. I call them CroMag!
