Just got a brand new Norinco CQ-A 10.5"
Took it out to the range today and had some troubles..
Almost every shot would result into a jam. Looks like a Failure to Eject or Extract.
When shot, the empty cartridge comes out halfway but then gets stuck because a new round is trying to be chambered. Look kinda like a double feed. It's doesn't always happen but very often!
I tried different mags and the problem still occurs. I was using American Eagle ammo.

Need help to fix the problem! This is really annoying :(

I've heard a lot of these problems with the 10.5 barrel. Don't quote me but I believe it's something to do with the gas system that causes/solves this problem. Someone will chime in and give you a detailed answer shortly.

Like TK-Hryciuk said and pick up Spike's - 5.56 Extractor Upgrade kit from Questar for $8.00 and you should be fine. I installed that part on mine and Ive never had an issue.

lots of the 10.5s have extraction issue, replaceing extractor spring and o ring seems to be the go to solution

Replace the extractor spring with the correct spring and rubber insert and it'll run fine.
I cannot believe that retail shops aren't repairing this well known and widespread defect in the 10.5" Norinco's before selling them. It's a 5 minute repair tops.
Throw on a small rubber O ring as well for good measure if you're a "belt and suspenders" type.

Um he said lots of 10.5, not 'lots of norc 10.5'

take it in context, in a thread about 10.5 norqs what else would I be talking about?

otherwise I could be referring to any 10.5 inch black rifle like an xcr or tavor or something, lets keep the posts directed towards fixing the OP's problem instead of my syntax :)

ORIGINAL POSTER,

there are tons of threads about 10.5 norqs doing what yours is doing, it might be helpful to do a search to get more information.

you may also need to upgrade the ejector (different from extractor) spring as well, rounds may be extracting, but not getting pushed out enough by the ejector pin/spring

Alright before this debate goes any further lol
I'd like to say THANKS for the info! I just ordered a Extractor upgrade package and we'll see the outcome when I get it.

Will not be the first time someone brings in a company's product into a topic with problematic AR15.

Back to the original OP, if the ejector option doesn't work....you will probably have to replace the whole bolt carrier group. Some people had to do that for their norc.

I had to take my bolt carrier out and sand down the sides a bit where it was rubbing. Solved that problem real fast. Other norc 10.5 owners have mentioned the same problem and came up with the same solution. Might not be your only problem, but for some, a proven one. Just use fine grit paper (400 grit or so), no rough stuff. I also picked up some wedges for the space between the upper and lower, haven't had a failure since.

It is without a doubt the extractor booster, the diagram is on the previous page. Order the $7 kit from quester and you are golden.
