Hello All, I have a chance of purchasing a brand new, in the box Ruger Mark II target stainless. I am not sure if it is a bull barrel on not. The seller is asking $600 which I feel is too much. What is the real value of a unused mark II ?

I would agree with $400. I paid $375 for my ruger MkII 6-7/8 Target Stainlessin in excellent, but used condition. I would say up to $450 as an absolute maximum for any MkII. To the right buyer, the 10" stainless may command a higher price.
How many magazines does it come with...any other extras? I'd go a little over $400 for a brand new stainless target model, but that's just me. Add $25 for each extra mag [I think the gun comes with two in the box, right?] MarkII mags are available from Mec-Gar, but they aren't always easy to find....I bought the last 4 Marstar had in stock... 
Considering that a pistol like this is pretty much a lifetime purchase, it seems kinda petty to try to save $50 on it. Considering the savings in ammo over a centerfire pistol, it pays for itself pretty quickly. I shoot about 100 rounds through my MkII at the beginning of every range session as a warmup...that would get expensive if I was shooting anything else.
