Hi guys,
Just got a new takedown 10/22 in a magpul backpacker and took it to the range.
First 6 shots I hear it ring steel at 100m and then last 4 of the clip I don't. Found it weird so I took barrel apart and looked down the barrel and found it strange that I couldn't see through the other end. I figured that I somehow piled 4shots into each other in the tube and got all worried. As time went on I kept staring through barrel in disbelief and slowly saw a glimmer of light until finally after a couple minutes I could see the other end perfectly again.
I was gobsmacked that it'd bend that much because its only a 16" barrel. I haven't seen anyone else complain about this problem. I understand its not a bull barrel but I figured it'd be able to handle at least 10 shots fairly consecutively without issue.
Anyone got ideas, is this a ruger warranty issue or just the nature of the beast?
Thanks
