I pulled out a brand new Tikka T3 5-round magazine to cycle a few snap caps through my T3 Sporter only to find that it would only hold 2 rounds and that there was no 'spring action' under the plastic follower. After a bit of cussing, fiddling, and some Internet research, I discovered that the factory installed the magazine spring sideways! Go figure. So, don't fret if you experience something similar and waste your money on a brand new $70 magazine. Apparently, this problem is not unheard of. Simply slide out the magazine follower and the spring falls out. Carefully re-position the spring within the little tabs under the follower and slide the follower back in. Easy.
