The Legend Returns

For over 30 years the M3 Super 90 has been unavailable to Canadian shooters. By using the receiver of an existing non-restricted shotgun we have been able to add M3 style components to achieve the same look, feel and function of the legendary M3 Super 90, but without the prohibited classification.

The TAC-12 “M3 Super 90” is a dual-mode semi-automatic and pump action 12GA shotgun. It can be quickly converted from autoloading to pump by simply turning a spring loaded ring located on the end of the forearm. The M3 was developed in the 1980’s for special operations and elite law enforcement units who required a shotgun that could adapt to various tactical roles. It’s dual-mode system allows for effective operation of both standard and special purpose ammunition, (i.e. rubber, tear, flare, etc.) on the fly. The M3 was designed to operate under the most adverse conditions and boasts easy handling, accuracy and a high rate of fire. Notable adopters include the Canadian JTF2, Czech 601st Special Forces Group and French GIGN.

The TAC-12 “M3 Super 90” features a 20” barrel threaded for interchangeable chokes. It has a 3” chamber and is fed by a 5-shot tubular magazine (6 shots, 2.75”). The extended magazine tube features a barrel clamp for additional durability. There is a magazine cut-off/chamber-dump button so the shooter can directly chamber a special round without having to cycle through the entire magazine. Fixed on top of the receiver are 3-dot ghost-ring sights for fast target acquisition, and tapped holes for the addition of an optional top picatinny rail. The stock is fixed polymer with non-slip grip checkering, with a rubber buttpad and a sling loop located on both sides. The pump handle is ergonomically shaped with non-slip channels for use with gloves or in wet environments. As the original, it is operated by the proven inertia system. This system delivers unmatched reliability, cleaner operation, and lightning-fast cycling in a lightweight, ultra-durable design. With fewer moving parts and minimal maintenance, it handles the toughest conditions with ease.

Like all firearms imported by TI, the TAC-12 “M3 Super 90” is backed with a LIFETIME WARRANTY. Priced at just $899.

Okay, so slapping a (prohibited) M3-pattern barrel and dual action bars onto a non-restricted M1-pattern receiver means it remains non-restricted, since the receiver itself is the firearm?

If that's the case, more manufacturers should take this hint... After all, the SPAS11 is non-restricted while the functionally identical SPAS12 is prohibited. This could open doors to many previously unavailable firearms.

After some digging it seems like the TAC-M3 by Adrenaline Arms (manufactured by Oguz, the OEM for Sulun Arms) have received a NR FRT entry #198626, so it somehow got blessed by the RCMP.

Very nice, Dang - I like 'em as legally short as posssible @18.5" ya, call me fussy. Does that extra 1.5 inches really make a difference .. dunno, ask your wife :)

Please elaborate on the "lifetime warranty". What does that actually look like?

If this thing blows up after 1000 rounds of 3" magnum ran through it as fast as it can go, is it getting replaced for free?

Would like to see a 1000 round burn down of this before I pay 1k
We don't have one for 1k, but we do have one for 10k
It is the same receiver but the M4 version. We'll see if they have anything for the M3. Their M3 has been manufactured the past 5 years, and our demo was also flawless in our own testing. We also back all firearms with lifetime warranty :)
