This site has already been incredibly helpful to me, answering questions and finding a few people to chat with about my boat load of questions.
A little about me,
I'm 25, and just starting to venture into shooting as a sport. I'm taking my PAL course this week and can hardly wait! I come from an airsoft background and hopefully some of the real steel techniques I've been practicing there will carry over, with a bit of hands on experience. Unfortunately for me, I'm the only one in my family who has an interest in guns. I don't have any friends who shoot, so I'm hoping to find a mentor here. At the very least, I'd like to find a few friends here who can help me navigate this new sport.
I'm looking into my first rifle purchase, when the time comes to buy. I've decided to start with a .308 bolt action rifle. So far my research and shopping has shown the Savage Axis II or Model 10 to be the best choices. I've come across a few scope packages that go with the rifle.
I'd love to learn how to reload. If anyone wants a keen student willing to volunteer, give me a shout. I'm from the Durham Region in the GTA.
