Anyone figured out a way to make up a brass catcher for the New Type97A (non-restricted) rifles when they get here.

Its gonna be one sweet gopher/coyote gun.... and I do not want to be bending over all the time to pick up brass in the grass.

I like the idea of the mesh bags attached by Velcro somehow.

Something like the ones they make for AR-15s.

There has to be a way to mount one maybe to the carrying handle ?

Might have to modify one yourself from the one used on the AR.
Methinks this is a good idea as I also hate chasing brass, especially while hunting.

If your looking for ideas try ww w.brasscatchers.com. You could make one to fit out of kydex. They also have universal .223 ones if that suits you.

Deckard is designing one...or will be once he gets his hands on a 97. Check the CanadaAmmo Norinco 97 thread

Yes. I intend to make a brass deflector with an ability to add a bag. When I get the rifle, I will experiment with vacuum forming. This might take a month or longer. I have never been fast, (as I am always busy on work projects) and I do take heat for that. Sorry in advance.

Now if only you can attach a lee loader to that bag and have the brass reload automatically. Now that would be something.
