brass catcher that clips onto gun?

ok, i DESPERATELY need a brass catcher. each time i go to the range and shoot my S&W 22A (22LR), i go through about 500 rounds of ammo in the 3-4 hours i'm there. picking up that much brass scattered all over SUCKS ARSE.

is there such a thing as a brass catcher that clips to the side of the gun, or maybe is on a pole and just beside the gun to catch all the stuff that comes flying out?

Why are you picking up 22 brass? I can see saving center fire brass if you reload otherwise a broom and dustpan should do the trick. Is this a range membership requirement?

Ha... lead deposits welcome, brass not. Makes sense? From what type of surface are you trying to retrieve the brass from?

either sandy or concrete (depending on how far forward the brass flies or what it bounces off). i'm already using a kitty-litter pooper-scooper from the dollar store, but with 500+ rounds flying, even that is sometimes a long PITA.

Yup... sounds like a brass catcher is inorder. How about using a plastic tarp?

There are nets you can buy that you lay on the ground, and simply pick up when you are done. he sand etc falls through, but it catches everything from 22 on up.

IMO much more convenient than a box attached to your gun.

a pistol mounted brass catcher is going to throw off the balance of your pistol and anything in yourline of sight is going to be a distraction... just be happy picking brass. and get one of these.

I know phonix shooting range in alberta is a CED and I imagine cfram is one also, but ced will also ship to canada as I have bought silicone skins from them before.

I made one of these in 10min out of a GI laundry bag I got from a surplus store for $8:

I hung it on the right stall with a couple of cheap plastic clamps from dollar store. Worked OK, except my guns eject differently so I was tired of adjusting my stance each time I switched guns. Besides, I like to sweep my neighbor's brass if the neighbor does not reload.

If you're on an outdoors range you can rig a camera tripod to do the support.

Or like has been said, use a tarp. Should take care of 90%.

If I had to put a bag onto my guns I would find somewhere else to shoot...

i don't HAVE to put a bag on the gun, but i WANT to - cuz i really don't feel like picking up that much brass after a day of my shooting.

hmm, i like that net-with-pocket idea!!! seems to be simple and effective and ought to be easy to set up beside me (on table or on ground).
