I have heard lots of talk that the sloping shoulder of the 375 H&H contributes greatly to its lack of case life. Does anybody know if a brass lasts longer with a 375 Ackley Improved or 375 Weatherby with their more modern shape? Is the difference noticable or negligable? I assume it would cost the same to have a blank chambered to either of the three so cost is not an issue. Thanks for your input.

I eventually loose my .375 cases to loose primer pockets, but never to separated cases. Much would depend on your individual chamber and method of sizing. I can think of reasons to "Imp" it though, starting with 100-200 fps of gained velocity. Whether that is an advantage would depend on your use. One thing to consider, bullet choice at the higher velocities is critical. Plenty of .375 bullets are a bit soft even at H&H velocities.

I was looking at the AI or Roy strictly for case life. The performance gain is negligable to me (the rifle would probably have a 20'' barrel anyways). Cost isnt an issue as well as I would need to chamber the barrel anyways.

375 Ai

lve got an 375 AI slimbo just in case gatehouse bought that dam 375 ruger, but joking aside l found a large increase in speed and brass life really good except for primer pockets also ,but lots of 7-8 reloads per case if l dont load it to hot.
